Labor Day Weekend Labors

The long weekend is here and I really thought I could get caught up on some work at the theater. But working in a 100+ year old building has proven to be quite challenging. Our great team of lights and sound guys (check out http://www.lighting-guy.com) has had a battle with three inch concrete ceilings. So, the progress has been slow. But, I have been assured, that come this Tuesday, we will be done with the build out. We are still waiting on some LED cyc lights to ship. But, the rest of the theater will be in order.

Monday will be spent in the theater thinking about how we will arrange chairs. I purchased 120 and hope to get all of them in. The more I look at the space, the more I wonder if that will be possible. We are less that a month from opening night and I am really feeling the rush of getting things ready. Outside of getting the theater space ready, Shari and I are prepping our final marketing push for opening night, finalizing the sound cues and getting the opening pre-show lights prepared.

The rest of you enjoy the cookouts. I will be laboring this Labor Day.
